LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA – The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission today released next week’s travel restrictions for the Scudder Falls Bridge Replacement Project, reminding motorists that the project’s Thanksgiving holiday weekend lane closure moratorium remains in effect until noon Monday, Nov. 27.

The week’s restricted-travel schedule is as follows:

Pennsylvania side

  • I-95 north from the Route 332/Newtown-Yardley interchange (Exit 49) to the Scudder Falls Bridge – intermittent single-lane travel configurations 10 a.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) Tuesday, Nov. 28, through Friday, Dec. 1.
  • I-95 south from the Scudder Falls Bridge to the Route 332/Newtown-Yardley interchange (exit 49) – intermittent single-lane travel pattern 8 p.m. to 2 p.m. (next day) Tuesday, Nov. 28 through Friday, Dec. 1.
  • Woodside Road west of Taylorsville Road – Intermittent alternating single-lane travel controlled by flaggers 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 to Friday, Dec. 1.
  • River Road/Route 32 – Intermittent alternating single-lane travel controlled by flaggers 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 to Friday, Dec. 1.

New Jersey side

  • Route 175/River Road – Alternating single-lane travel controlled by flaggers between I-95 and West Upper Ferry Road 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 to Friday, Dec. 1.

Canal Towpath PA – Weather permitting, the Delaware Canal towpath is scheduled to be closed in the vicinity of the I-95 approach to the Scudder Falls Bridge from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30, Friday, Dec. 1 and Monday, Dec. 4.

Weekends: The Thanksgiving holiday weekend lane closure moratorium expires noon, Monday, Nov. 27.  No project-related lane closures are scheduled for Dec. 2-3.

The aforementioned travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergency, traffic, and mobilization considerations.  Motorists are urged to allow extra time to reach their destinations, and to reduce speeds and exercise caution when travelling through project work areas.
