24/7 Detour of NJ Route 29 Southbound will commence Thursday, May 10  

Ewing, NJ – New detour patterns will begin next week in the complex I-95/Route 29 interchange (Exit 1) adjacent to the Scudder Falls Bridge, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced today.

Several interchange ramps connecting NJ Route 29 to I-95 will be closed for overnight periods beginning Monday, May 7, and a 24/7 closure of 29 South will commence on Thursday May 10. Links to detour maps can be found below under each corresponding entry.

New Jersey side

  • NJ Route 29 North to I-95 South Ramp – OVERNIGHT closure with posted detour 10 p.m. Monday, May 7, to 6 a.m. (next day) the following Monday, May 14 (Weekends end time 7 a.m. Saturday, May 12 and 8 a.m. Sunday May 13). (Detour Map Available Here) 
  • I-95 North to NJ Route 29 North Ramp – OVERNIGHT closure with posted detour 10 p.m. Monday, May 7, to 6 a.m. (next day) the following Monday, May 14 (Weekends end time 7 a.m. Saturday, May 12 and 8 a.m. Sunday May 13). (Detour Map Available Here)
  • NJ Route 29 South through I-95 Interchange – 24/7 closure with posted detour beginning 6 a.m. Thursday, May 10, through Tuesday, May 15 (Estimated End Date). (Detour Map Available Here)

  • Route 175/River Road – Intermittent alternating single-lane travel controlled by flaggers 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, May 7, through Saturday, May 12.

Pennsylvania side

  • Woodside Road (west of Taylorsville Road to around Clearview Drive) – Eastbound traffic only 24/7, continuing until approximately May 24; posted detours for westbound traffic via Mt. Eyre Road to the north or Dolington Road to the south. (Detour map available here)
  • I-95 north from the Route 332/Newtown-Yardley interchange (Exit 49) to the Scudder Falls Bridge – Intermittent single-lane travel patterns 10 a.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) Monday, May 7, through Friday, May 11.
  • I-95 south from the Scudder Falls Bridge to the Route 332/Newtown-Yardley interchange (exit 49) – Intermittent single-lane travel patterns 8 p.m. to 2 p.m. (next day) Monday, May 7, through Friday, May 11.
  • Taylorsville Road in vicinity of I-95 – Intermittent single-lane patterns 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, May 7, through Friday, May 11.
  • River Road/Route 32 – Intermittent alternating single-lane travel controlled by flaggers 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, May 7, through Friday, May 11.Weekends: Aside from the 24/7 westbound travel prohibition on Woodside Road in Lower Makefield, PA, overnight and 24/7 closures on NJ Route 29 and overnight closures at NJ Route 175, no project-related lane closures are scheduled for the weekends of May 5-6 or May 12-13.

    The aforementioned scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergency, traffic, and equipment/materials mobilization considerations. Motorists are urged to allow extra time to reach their destinations, and to reduce speeds and exercise caution when travelling through project work areas.
