Lower Makefield, PA – The Scudder Falls Bridge Replacement Project’s scheduled travel restrictions for the week of May 13 are as follows:
Pennsylvania side
- I-95 north from the Route 332/Newtown-Yardley interchange (Exit 49) to the Scudder Falls Bridge – Intermittent single-lane travel patterns 10 a.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) Monday, May 14, through Friday, May 18.
- I-95 south from the Scudder Falls Bridge to the Route 332/Newtown-Yardley interchange (exit 49) – Intermittent single-lane travel patterns 8 p.m. to 2 p.m. (next day) Monday, May 14, through Friday, May 18.
- Woodside Road (west of Taylorsville Road to around Clearview Drive) –
Eastbound traffic only 24/7, continuing until approximately May 24 (revised end date); posted detours for westbound traffic via Mt. Eyre Road to the north or Dolington Road to the south. (Please see detour map)
- Taylorsville Road in vicinity of I-95 – Intermittent single-lane patterns and/or flagging 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, May 14, to Friday, May 18.
- River Road/Route 32 – Intermittent alternating single-lane travel controlled by flaggers 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, May 14, to Friday, May 18.
New Jersey side
- Route 29 south at I-295/I-95 Interchange (Exit 76/old exit 1) — 24/7 closure with posted detour via Route 175/River Road remaining in effect 24/7 until approximately 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 15. (Please see detour map – orange)
- Spur ramp from I-295 north/I-95 south to NJ Route 29 south — 24/7 closure with posted detour remaining in effect until approximately 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 15. (Please see detour map – yellow)
- Route 29 north access ramp to I-95 south/Pennsylvania — OVERNIGHT closure and posted detour 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) Sunday, May 13, and Monday, May 14. (Detour Map Available Here – Green)
- I-295 south/I-95 north access ramp for Route 29 north — OVERNIGHT closure and posted detour 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) Sunday, May 13, and Monday, May 14. (Detour Map Available Here – Purple)
- Route 175/River Road – OVERNIGHT closure and posted detour 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) Tuesday, May 15 to Saturday, May 19 (weekend end times 7 a.m. Saturday, May 19 and 8 a.m. Sunday, May 20) AND Intermittent alternating single-lane traffic pattern controlled by flaggers 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 to Saturday, May 19. Weekends:
New Jersey – Route 29 south and corresponding spur ramp from I-295 north/I-95 south (Exit 76 old exit 1) will remain closed with posted detours May 12 and 13. Overnight detours will be in effect for interchange ramps Route 29 north to I-95 south/Pennsylvania and I-295 south/I-95 north to Route 29 north 10 p.m. Friday, May 11, to 7 a.m. Saturday, May 12; and 10 p.m. Saturday, May 12, to 8 a.m. Sunday, May 13. Route 175/River Road will also have OVERNIGHT detours and daytime alternating single lane patterns on Saturday, May 19.
Pennsylvania – Westbound travel remains prohibited 24/7 on Woodside Road immediately west of Taylorsville Road. No other project-related lane closures are scheduled for the weekends of May 12-13 or May 19-20.
The aforementioned scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergency, traffic, and equipment/materials mobilization considerations. Motorists are urged to allow extra time to reach their destinations, and to reduce speeds and exercise caution when travelling through project work areas.
