Lower Makefield, PA – Construction activities for the Scudder Falls Bridge Replacement Project are expected to require the following travel restrictions in the 4.4-mile-long project area during the week of February 25:

New Jersey side  

  • I-95/Route 29 interchange (Exit 1) – OVERNIGHT ramp and roadway closures with posted detours at four locations 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March 2. (Note:  Additional weekend overnight travel restrictions may be scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 25, and Saturday, March 3, if needed due to weatherinduced construction delays.)  Detour maps may be found on homepage of project website at scudderfallsbridge.com.
  • Route 175/River Road – Intermittent alternating single-lane travel controlled by flaggers 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, to Friday, March 2.

 Pennsylvania side

  • Weekends: Overnight roadway and ramp closures with posted detours are scheduled along portions of the I-95/Route 29 interchange (Exit 1) from 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, to 6 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.  Overnight closures also possible Sunday, Feb. 25, & Saturday, March 3. No other project-related lane closures are scheduled for Feb. 24-25 and March 3-4. I-95 north from the Route 332/Newtown-Yardley interchange (Exit 49) to the Scudder Falls Bridge – Intermittent single-lane travel patterns 10 a.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March 2.
  • I-95 south from the Scudder Falls Bridge to the Route 332/Newtown-Yardley interchange (exit 49) – Intermittent single-lane travel patterns 8 p.m. to 2 p.m. (next day) Monday, Feb. 26, through Friday, March 2.
  • Taylorsville Road interchange (Exit 51) – Narrowed lane along portions of on-ramp from Taylorsville Road to I-95 southbound 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26.
  • Taylorsville Road in vicinity of I-95 – Intermittent single-lane patterns 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, to Friday, March 2.
  • Woodside Road (west of Taylorsville Road) – Intermittent single-lane patterns 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, to Friday, March 2.
  • River Road/Route 32 – Intermittent alternating single-lane travel controlled by flaggers 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, to Friday, March 2.

The aforementioned scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergency, traffic, and equipment/materials mobilization considerations.  Motorists are urged to allow extra time to reach their destinations, and to reduce speeds and exercise caution when travelling through project work areas.
