LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA – PA Route 32/River Road will be closed with a posted detour in the vicinity of the Scudder Falls Bridge during daytime hours on Saturday, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced today.
The closures and detours are required for repairs to a large crane to be used in a series of upcoming construction activities related to the Scudder Falls Bridge Replacement Project.
The closures will be in place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, December 10.
When closed, affected Route 32/River Road traffic will be detoured around the area via connections to nearby Taylorsville Road at E. Afton Avenue/Route 332 in Yardley, Woodside Road in Lower Makefield, and Mt. Eyre Road in Lower Makefield and Upper Makefield. (DETOUR MAP CAN BE FOUND HERE)
The aforementioned scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergency, traffic, and equipment/materials mobilization considerations. Motorists are urged to allow extra time to reach their destinations, and to reduce speeds and exercise caution when travelling through project work areas.
