Poor pavement conditions brought on by the recent freezethaw weather trend are forcing an emergency lane closure along I-95 southbound in Lower Makefield, PA. immediately following the Friday evening commuting period, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced today.
The right lane of I-95 southbound will be shutdown 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, and will remain closed until repairs can be made. The affected I-95 segment is between Dolington and Quarry Roads about a mile south of the Scudder Falls Bridge.
The single-lane travel pattern could remain in place along the roadway through the upcoming weekend.
Motorists using I-95 southbound in Pennsylvania south of the Scudder Falls Bridge are advised to reduced speeds, exercise caution and allow extra time to reach their destinations while the emergency lane closure is in effect.
