DVRPC - Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission - This metropolitan planning organization (MPO) conducts capital planning for transportation projects as well as other planning and economic development services for the greater Philadelphia area, including nine counties across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
EIS - Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)
FHWA - Federal Highway Administration - This agency oversees the process of planning; designing and constructing federally funded highway projects. FHWA approves the selected alternative and prepares either a Record of Decision, as result of an EIS, or a Finding of No Significant Impact (see Finding of No Significant Impact), as a result of the Environmental Assessment (EA).
